replay voice part
i read in a xml file which looks alright but the voices are all assigned to many different part. is there a way to re-align the voices? i.e. if the music file show upper stem notes on system 1 then they can be re-played with mixer indicating only on one part. this will help to sort out single melody for each voice part or instrument.

Use the Selection Filter (F6) and then copy paste?
It sounds like you imported the file from a PDF. If this is the case, notes get moved from one staff to another. The easiest way to fix it is as Shoichi said and use the filter selector to cut and paste to the correct spot. You may consider adding empty staves and move all of the notes to those, then delete the original staves.
