Historic Harpsichord Soundfonts

• Sep 22, 2018 - 22:36

I am providing a small collection of seven soundfonts taken from samples of historic harpsichords for anyone that wants it. I hope to expand this collection over time, but this will do for the time being.

Download: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4xbpml2reauza/Harpsichord_Collection

The collection:
Venetian Harpsichord, Vito Trasuntino (1560)
Italian Harpsichord, Anonymous (17 c.)
French Harpsichord, François-Etienne Blanchet (Paris 1720)
French Harpsichord, Pascal Taskin (Paris, 18c.)
German Harpsichord, Christian Zell (Hamburg 1737)
German Harpsichord, Gottfried Silbermann (Saxony 1740)
English Harpsichord, Jacob Kirkman (England, 18 c.)

All SoundFonts are pitched at A= 440 Hz and tuned to equal temperament. With the exception of the Kirkman, none have release samples.

Hi Martin, thank you for sharing these lovely harpsichords! What is the sample source and license for these instruments? I need to know if it will be possible to use any of these in MuseScore's HQ SoundFont. Thanks :)
