Problem with the Playback Function/Sound in General

So, I've searched through the other posts about this, but none of them describe the exact same problem I'm having. I recently just redownloaded Musescore on my new laptop and there is no sound coming from clicking on notes, or the playback button. It isn't grayed out, but clicking on the play button doesn't actually do anything except turn light blue and gray out the buttons on the top. There is not a blue follow-along bar (I'm not sure what it's called), the screen doesn't move, etc. Basically, nothing happens on the score at all when I hit the spacebar. I have a Windows (this is a pretty new laptop, so a assume it is 7 or more) and version 2.3. Thanks in advance!
