Trouble Changing Time Signature
I am attempting to change the time signature from 2/2 (which was what was detected when I used a .pdf file that I wanted to convert to a .mscz file with the musescore website tool) to 4/4. When I drag and drop the 4/4 time signature on top of the 2/2 time signature, the program stops responding. All I really want to do is transpose this piece of music, which has only a few minor errors overall from the .pdf to .mscz conversion. I need to correct those errors (like time signature and some improperly scanned notes) before I can transpose. Am I doing something wrong? Attached are the .mscz file that was created after scanning and the original .pdf file. I am using Musescore version 2.3.2 (revision 4592407) and Windows 8.1. For the record, I am brand new to Musescore.

The problem with changing the time signature is that in the import process Audiveris got confused, which is common and created tuplets such as the 6-let that is in measure 3 in the right hand. Once these are fixed, you should be able to change the time signature. Even though there is no difference in the appearance of a measure going from 2/2 to 4/4, MuseScore still recalculates the measures because the time signature has changed. This is causing the freeze.
After this is done, notice things like measure 37 where there are more notes entered into the bass clef and moved to the treble. To see this, select the measure in one staff and all of the notes in that measure for that staff will change colors. It will be easier to simply delete and reenter the measures than to try to fix them by cutting and pasting. These are not affected by the time signature, but will likely have the wrong rhythm or voice compared to the original. Also measure 37 is an extreme example, everywhere you see an invisible rest you will likely find this.

I'm very fond of MuseScore also and your score looks good. Don't hesitate to ask any further questions you might have. When used properly, MuseScore makes entering music quite easy.
