Output to AirPods
I'm a new musician and learning to use MuseScore while learning to read music and play violin. It's been an incredible help to me to enter my lessons in as I can play along at whatever tempo I need, and correct my intonation.
I like the playback to be louder than I am, and can only accomplish this with earbuds in. Unfortunately, for some reason MuseScore continues to play over my iMac's internal speakers instead of the AirPods. They are connected an all other sounds play through them.
Any ideas of why MuseScore won't?

It usually helps to connect devices before starting MuseScore. Sometimes it helps to go to Edit / Preferences / I/O and be sure your device is selected there.

Thank you so much Marc! That was it, I had to connect them prior to opening MuseScore. Much appreciated!

This helped me too!!! Thank you!!
I just got a pair of AirPods. I am not having difficulty hearing MuseScore, but when I am transcribing there is a distinct hesitation or delay between when I input a note and when I hear it. Like about half a second. It's really annoying. Also, this doesn't happen when I use earbuds that connect with a cable directly to the computer (as opposed to Bluetooth). Do you think this is something I could fix through MuseScore or is it a purely AirPod issue. (I'm hoping for the MuseScore solution since I doubt I am going to be able to get any serious support from Apple).

Bluetooth does come with some latency

Thanks, Jojo. So there is nothing to be done, I guess. I think I'll stick with my old earbuds for MuseScore.

Might be a bluetooth driver issue, when the latency is too big
