Can not figure out how to show note names. New install

I have downloaded these plugin's
notenames-master.zip
notenames-bottom2top

First I unzipped them in the download files. I could not get them to work

Then I tried to unzip the master in the musesccore x86 plugin folders. That crashed.

How do I get the plugins properly installed?
Then how to I get them to show in a score?

Thanks for any help.

You need to unzip them to the folder listed in Edit->Preferences under the plugins path. In windows, you can copy the path and put it into the windows explorer. I don't know if this work on Mac & Linux.

So you got them from https://musescore.org/en/project/note-names, and that tells you to check https://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins on how to install them ;-)

Sorry I have been away from this for a couple / three years. I could not find the man with whatever search terms I was using.
I had everything right but the last step: checking the enable box.
