can't extend pedal marking to include more than just one note.
A pedal marking in a piano piece only extends for one note. I need it to extend to include the next measure.

Or just add the pedal mark to the whole range to begin with - select the range of notes you want the pedal mark to apply to, double click the palette symbl. If you use the less efficient drag & drop, it will only go to the end of the current measure (not necessarily just one note, could be many notes), but then you can also use Shift+right to extend it as suggested above. It's just easier to get it right the first time.
