Preview should be live in forum topic
Some characters are interpreted to format the forum entries, you can check that by using button preview before posting.
Looks like a 1985 program ...
Preview should be live, e.g. on the right of the screen on normal screens (where the entry editing part is already limited to the middle of the screen today) and below the entry on narrow ones.

Those characters are taken to be MarkDown (which surely didn't exist back in 1985 ;-))

To be clear: nothing against supporting markdown which is great, what is '1985' is to have to click on preview to see the result, like the old word processors
