I just saw a thing in issue tracker that said the pause between sections should be three seconds, and realized this was controllable.
I'm a little slow sometimes.
So... can we have a text option, attacca, that eliminates the pause?
To get really crazy, can we also have ties or slurs across the section break?

You can already have ties and slurs across section breaks. If you find a situation this isn't true, it's a bug and needs fixed.
Section breaks are intended to start a new score or movement in the same file. The most common expectation is that there will be a pause between the two movements so the default is a 3 second pause. This is easy to adjust. Right click the break and select Section break properties. (Side note, this is one of those inconsistencies I mentioned somewhere else today. This is one of the few things that requires or even allows properties to be accessed through right click).

Oh awesome, there's a workaround!
Nevertheless, that's a pretty deep cut of knowledge - it would be much nicer for people if we made the learning curve less of a cliff, and included a functional attacca in the breaks and spacers or text palette.

I entered a bug report so section break properties will show up in the inspector. The result is that when you add it, it will be selected and the inspector will show the section break properties. This will make the learning curve for version 3 much easier for this item. I believe this to be a previously missed throwback to version 2.
