I've found a bug when viewing separate parts within a larger score; it doesn't function like Musescore2 did i.e. the function to hear only the instruments in the part is not properly working.

This is actually a feature - see #109941: Regression—playback in single part instead plays full score. Now you have the option of either hearing the full score or just the part (by soloing the part in the Mixer). It's conceivable we'll change the default, though, if more people say they prefer hearing only the part.
