I have always regretted that you can only find the symbols for up/down bow in the master palette, as I use them frequently. I would love to have them right there in the basic palette for me to use. But I'm loving the ??? that opens the master palette, that's super helpful and I'm so glad it was added in 3.

The bowing symbols are in the advanced palette also. There are a lot of symbols there, so I created a custom workspace that includes them so I don't have to look through all of the symbols in the advanced workspace to see them. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palettes-and-workspaces#custom-worksp… for more info. The only significant difference that will affect palettes is that Workspaces were move to the View menu. You may want to be viewing the basic palette when you create you workspace and add the symbols to that because there is a bug still with moving symbols in palettes.

To be clear, though: switching to the Advanced palette (using the control at the bottom of the palette window) totally works, and this is the recommended thing for people who want access to more than just the most basic symbols. No need to open the Master palette. Customizing is nice too if you prefer.
