The bug I have been experiencing involves an issue of score playback. When selecting any measure of my score (it seemed at first only the eighth measure but later happened to the ones prior,) the playhead would jump forward about 5 measures, skipping the intended portion for playback. After several successful attempts at recreating this issue, each of which having its own unusual behaviors, the issue ceased. I decided to report this bug, as it was quite frustrating to deal with. Is it possible you were viewing a part rather than the score, and is it possible you are using a build more than few days old? If so, known issue that is already fixed. If not, we'd need more info. Like, which build of MuseScore (see Help / About), the score you are having trouble with, and precise steps to reproduce the problem (obviously difficult if you can't reproduce yourself).
I have a similar issue, I've noticed that it only happens in continuous mode. I'm running 3.0.5.21343, the newest to date. I use macOS 10.14.2. I select a note and push play then it'll jump a few bars and sit and hold the note for the length of those bars then start where it jumped to.
