Adding Staccato to part does not show in part until restart

When editing a part (not the score, a part), and adding a staccato (or accent; probably others, but those are the ones I've run into), it adds the staccato but doesn't show it on the screen (no dot above the note). It shows in the score, but not in the part. Playing the music plays the staccato. Restarting MuseScore shows the staccato, and everything is back to normal until you try to add another element.

Using the latest 3.0 version.
