Cross-staff notation, beam disappeared when moving from bass to treble

Please refer to the attached photos. I used Musescore 3 to open an old v.2 sheet, but the cross-staffed notes lost their beam.

I separately created a new v.3 sheet and tried doing cross-staff notation from bass to treble, it showed same result. If the cross was from treble to bass, there was no problem.
