Why is this beam not slanted?
This seems like a bug, but it happens in both 2.3.2 and 3.0, so it's not a 3.0 regression
The third beam is level, but I think it should be slanted (as does the engraved source I'm working from).

Are the complex builtin rules documented anywhere? In this case I'd expect a slant because the first and last notes of the beam are not equal, but I gather Musescore has a different default style/rules. Seems like an opportunity for a style like Finale has (at some point in the future, but not high priority).
I know I can adjust by hand, but I'd rather not.

I would guess that the reason it's not slanted is the presence of the D on the third note, which is lower than the F on the first note. A slant in this case would not look right, either the stem on the F will be too long, or the stem on the D will be too short.

Not sure I agree it looks bad. It would be bad if it were an extreme slant, but a little is okay.

'Documented' the source code only, but that basically tries to follow Elaine Gould's "Behind Bars"

Cool, thanks.

Ah, looks like the "group with both shapes takes a horizontal beam" rule.
