Chords over rests

• Jan 14, 2019 - 18:23

I recently downloaded the latest version of Musescore and was loving all of the changes, except for one thing that has been an incredible irritation.

Let's say there are 2 eighth rests and I want to put chords over both of them. If I try to put a chord over both of them the rests do not adjust to accommodate and create space for the chords to all be level. Instead, the chords begin to stack on top of one another. This also happens if there is a rest followed by a note. This does not happen when there are notes next to one another however.

Anyone have a fix? Thanks!

Agree it's unfortunate. What MuseScore 2 did was essentially add extra space, so you can get this effect by adding stretch to the affected measures, or anything else that makes the measure wider (like jut adding system breaks).
