My question for you today is: If you write two parts of music on one stave, how are you able to print them as two individual parts?

Use filter, select Voice, Del, Print (or save as *.mscz);
Repeat steps.
If you assign each part to its own voice in version 3, you can use file->Parts and have one part consist of voice 1 and one part consist of voice 2. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voices
