!. Every time I open a file, I get the silly message about repositioning all elements. I do that, and save. But next time I open the file, I get the same silly message.

  1. I also get a useless message about some .exe that is not working. But when I discard the message, the file opens.

  2. The layout in the attached file is corrupted. It was OK yesterday.

How do I throw out this version and get back the one that worked until recently?

You get that message every time you open a file from a pre-3.0 version. Once you saved that (into a different file!) and open that saved version you won't get that message again. But if you just open the same pre-3.0 file again, you of course get that message again
