New Musescore 3. Download
I have Musescore 2 Portable installed on my Windows 10 PC.
I am unable to download the new version as a flag appears that says that there is no App to download a .MSI file.
Is it possible to have a .Zip version issued to enable me to take advantage of this Musescore 3 download. It would appear that I am not the only one to have this problem.
I do not have the confidence or know-how to adjust the settings as suggested elsewhere.
Thanks,
Alan Womack

Is it necessary to download Microsoft App Installer for Windows 10?
Doesn't that work from here https://musescore.org/en/download ?

Thank you for your response Shoichi.
When I download from the link you provided (which I had used previously), I get the message –
This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page.
When I look, there is no app associated and none that I can see that I could associate. I should add that I had similar problems when installing MuseScore initially and was told to download the portable version which works fine.
I have been in contact with my local shop and they have told me to bring the PC in and they will sort it, but as I am disabled, this might be difficult.
Anyway, I will plug on regardless and maybe some one else with the same problem will publish a solution that I can use.
Once again, thank you.
Alan

It descibes exatly that problem and how to fix it (except that the workaround doesn't work for MuseScore 3 currently)
No, there is no zip version available. I'd msi doesn't install, something is wrong on you PC with the association of .msi to msiexec.exe, check Google on that.
