In my styles I have $M in the header information. It is displaying today's date instead of the last modified date of the file. This makes it very difficult to print the last modified date on the score.

I'm using this also (in footer, but that shouldn't matter) and it does work for me, on Windows 7.
Is this maybe happening on score created/last saved in MuseScore 2 and you see this when opening it in MuseScore 3? If so that'd be by design, as this is in fact an import and as such basically a new score.
