Possible memory leak

• Jan 31, 2019 - 10:01

Platform MacBook Air, macOS 10.14.2. MuseScore 3.0.20666.

Editing a score of about 80 bars, 8 parts. Editing is fine for about half an hour or so, then on moving the cursor, clicking the mouse etc. the Mac "Spinning wheel" appears. The trigger does not seem to be a particular action - maybe bring to click on Save, maybe just trying to reach a menu option or trying to select something from at the palette. Sometimes control comes back, sometimes MuseScore has be stopped and reloaded with a force quit. The previous MuseScore 3.0 was exhibiting the same behaviour before the upgrade. MuseScore on this platform is unusable. I have version 3.0.2.5315 on Windows 10 and it does not exhibit this behaviour with the same score.

I've uploaded the score, but not sure how much use this will be as the Windows version was fine. O Rejoice that the Lord has Arisen.mscz

Thanks. All seems OK, but I'll keep entering some random changes for a while to check it does not recur. Have only just swapped to a Mac, hence why I was having difficulty understanding what was going on. As mentioned previously the Windows version just soldiers on regardless. Many of the scores I load (for choir rehearsal purposes) come from Neuratron PhotoScore via MusicXML and that does have difficulties from time to time with accompaniment parts. I have tended to leave these alone provided they sound reasonably OK, the scores work with MuseScore online and in producing MP3s - that's why I have been a bit less rigorous about correcting corruptions in those parts. I'll be more vigilant from now on... Thanks again.
