When selecting multiple lines of lyrics within a system you cannot move the text together as a whole without de-selecting 'auto-formatting' for the text. Once you do that and click on the 'y' offset all of the 'x' values of the text are changed resulting in jumbled up stacked text. when you go back and rearrange those one word at a time by hand and then decide you need to move the 'y' offset again you get the same thing and have to re-align them again. I apologize if this is not considered major... but it is for me because most all of my scores have multiple lines of lyrics that have to be positioned one word at a time by hand.
So, the issue is that you want to be able to adjust vertical position of selected lyrics without disabling autoplace. See #283796: Manual adjustment of vertical offset for lyrics not possible.
But meanwhile, you really shouldn't need to be resorting to this sort of manual adjustment. If you want the lyrics lower, simply increase the "Lyrics top margin" in Format / Style / Lyrics.
