I cannot install Muse Score 3 as an update

I have tried to install the update that installs MuseScore 3. It down loads and installs but will not run. Th error message api-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll comes up. What does this mean? The computer is a desk to running Windows 7 Professional.
