Engraving
I am placing dynamics, staff text and lyrics in my score and even though the format states that these items will be above the staff, it's placing them below and moving text into lower staves.
What can I do to move them and keep them where they need to be? Also, what other formatting tips and tricks could help with the piece?

Hint 1, to see formatting properly, switch to page view. Most auto formatting is disabled in continuous view. You can then revisit what doesn't work the way you want and explain what you would like fixed.

Second question as I'm noticing - I've a couple points where a time signature is doubled. Why is that can how can I get it to a single marking? For instance, in the original copy I posted, measures 10 and 14 have double time signatures

The double time signatures are supposed to be fixed in 3.0.3, though it doesn't seem automatic by opening the score in 3.0.3 (which was released hours ago). To fix it you need to select the first of the duplicate time signature and double click the time signature in the palette. This seems to fix it from what I can see.
From looking again, it seems the doubled time signatures are not necessary and you can delete them with no ill effects.
