Another fermata minor issue

• Mar 2, 2019 - 15:22

Hi, gang!!!

I use MuseScore 3.0.4 into UbuntuStudio 18.04.2 LTS (64 bit Linux).

I had a Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone and Bass, 4 separated staves, one per voice, score and I wanted to reduce it to just 2 staves: one per tenors and other to basses.

Everything was working so fine, BUT... In some place I used one fermata (whole note, end of chorus) on all the voices and, when I merged it... I got a double fermata symbol (one above the other) in each staff!!!

I expected MuseScore put both fermata symbols in the same horizontal and vertical place (overlapping each other). Or... One above the staff and the other below the staff.

Instead, the two fermata symbols are in the same horizontal place but, one is above the other, both in the upper side of the staff.

Or course, it is a very minor issue because is very easy to erase one of the fermatas and... "Closed case"!!!

BUT... I wonder if I did something wrong or... Is it a bug???

Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!

If you flipped the voice 2 note using x the fermata will appear above the note also. You can tell if you did this by looking in the inspector under the stem direction, even for a whole note.
