Musescore 3.0.4 crashes on startup - Mac OS Mojave

Upon updating to the most recent version of MuseScore for Mac OS--version 3.0.4--MuseScore now crashes upon startup.

Specifically, upon opening, a dialogue box appears, saying, "The previous session quit unexpectedly. Restore session?" I have tried replying "yes" and "no" with the same result each time.

I have tried deleting the application and associated files and reinstalling, with the same result. Issue occurs on both MacBook Pro (2017, running OS Mojave 10.14.3) as well as on iMac (2011). Issue began before performing most recent OS update, and persists now.

Please advise!
