instructions to players
How do you place an instruction to a player in one part and not in another.
I have a 7 part score, that I want to place some text in the staff for the rhythm section, but don't want that text to appear in the horn parts. When I enter it in the pianist, part it also appears in the horn parts.
Is there a way around that?

Use staff text, the default shortcut is ctrl+t
You must have been using system text, or rehearsal marks, or tempo text, or repeats - those do show in all parts. Staff text is indeed what you want. Or expression text, or dynamics, etc.
