Musescore crashes when pasting
I don't know why, but the software repeatedly crashes when pasting certain parts in certain places. Trying to paste something, having it crash, restarting Musescore, then trying to paste it again always repeats the crash, but sometimes changing something, then trying to paste it again will allow the paste to go through anyways. The more parts and music was selected, the more often it seemed to crash, but it can still crash with only a simple line for one instrument or paste perfectly fine with a ton of music for a giant orchestra. It seems to happen slightly more often if the music begins not on a down beat.

If you attached a sample where the crash happened with instructions on how to reproduce it, someone could try to understand the cause of the crash. There as some crashes known to happen with parts and pasting, but we don't know if you've found a new one.

And just like that, musescore is now perfectly cooperative! I'll post again if it happens again; it was happening a ton earlier and not at all now.

MuseScore does seem to be finicky at times. You just have to find the right conditions to duplicate the crash.
I actually have one of those "It crashed and then it didn't" situations that I'm working on right now. I duplicated the crash and (since it was in version 3.0.5) I decided to submit a crash report. Before I submitted the report, I started a bug report in the issue tracker since I know I haven't seen that particular crash before. I then put the issue number into the crash report before sending it. The programmers now have both an automatically generated crash report and my description of what happened cross-referenced to one another. We now have a working theory on the cause of the crash. It's now a matter of the programmer putting the two together and figuring out the root cause so the crash can be fixed.
