How can I resize the mixer, which has suddenly become too large to fit vertically on the screen?

I have now uninstalled Musescore 3 and downloaded it again and I still have the problem. The fault is still present if I load a different score. I need to delete the program from the toolbar as the usual min/max/exit options are obscured and the mixer panel cannot be moved.

It sounds like it's time for you to revert to factory settings. It would be nice if a developer could work with you to figure out why this is happening to you before you do the factory reset, but I wouldn't blame you for not waiting.

The reason this too common problem has not been fixed is that programmers cannot figure out why it's happening since it hasn't happened to any of them.

To revert to factory settings, use the menu item in the help menu called "Revert to factory settings." This will reset several system items and hopefully the size of the windows that are causing problems. Reinstalling the program generally retains most of these settings and probably won't fix your problem.

I reverted to factory settings and found the mixer panel to be still too large and the inspector still unmoveable but more or less by accident I solved the problem. If you look on the inspector panel header there are two small diagonal arrows. Clicking on these cures this problem. With the mixer, right click on the header and a cross appears allowing the top bottom and sides to be adjusted. Having said that, when the mixer problem first arose I couldn't access the header so what I have done was probably necessary. Thanks again for your help. I can sleep easy.

Further to my previous problem, I found the same difficulty with the preferences screen. I couldn't understand why my choices were not accepted. The preferences panel on first access was too large for the screen but this was not obvious. This meant that the accept buttons, etc. were hidden. I realised on consulting the manual that the panel was too large and the same method worked to resize it, ie. right click on the header. I don't understand why it is programmed like this but I suppose there must be a good reason.
