Steps to reproduce the issue:

1) Launch MuseScore 3.0.5.21343
2) The dialog “Check for updated automatically” appears
3) Click on “Check Automatically”
4) The dialog does not go away
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 indefinitely
6) Click on “Don’t check”
7) The dialog does not go away
8) Repeat steps 6 and 7 indefinitely
