Addional line sytle for cresc, dim, etc

I like the option of having a sparse dashed line for cresc. and dim. but also for use with other directions that can spread over many bars. 1, 4 and 8 spaces between dashes are not uncommon. Even better would be a line style that could be completely customized by the end user.
