'Del' doesn't seem to remove line breaks in staff-text

In a fresh score, add a staff text consisting of two lines of text (separated by pressing the enter key). Now, relocate the text-cursor to the end of the first line and try pressing 'del'. Nothing happens.

Expected behavior: just as with regular text editors, the second line should begin to delete by being brought up to the first line.

Is this behavior intentional?
