grace notes

To create multiple grace notes I am using bagpipe ornamentation; how do I change up-stems to down-stems?

Select, press X
Be aware that those bagpipe embelishments are for bagpipe and therefor transposing, so don't sound like they look to sound on an instrument that does not transpose, or transposes differently from bagpipes

To add multiple grace notes to a note, select the note and double click the grace note, wait a split second, double click the grace note again until you have the proper number of grace notes. Some of the grace notes have shortcuts defined by default and you can repeatedly press the shortcut and multiple grace notes will be added. All grace notes have the option of adding a shortcut and this is the method I normally use.

Also, grace notes are supposed to be up stem, except if there are multiple voices. MuseScore handles this all automatically, you should not need to be overriding it often if at all. But in the rare cases where it is necessary, "X" flips stems, as well as many other elements (eg, moving text from above to below the staff.

As mentioned, don't use the bagpipe ornaments unless you are writing actual music for bagpipes - these are handled specially. To add multiple grace notes to other instruments, just added them nornmally one at a time (shortcut "/" for acciaccatura, which would be the normal type).
