Multi-Measure Rests: Weird Gaps

• Aug 2, 2019 - 04:16

(I have an attachment to look at my screen)
So, I recently learned how to add multi-measure rests. While it was great, there were a few gaps, as you can see to the right of the red, blue, and green lines. Now, I was confused and started thinking of other ways. Long story short, I almost deleted my piece. So, after thinking about it again, I realized that I had new instruments begin on the red, blue, and green. That's why hey aren't apart of the multi-measure rests. Now, I forgot to add this in there, but I didn't add any new instruments after the tempo change. I understand why the first bar wouldn't be apart of a multi-measure rest, but the other 3 measures have no instruments added or subtracted from the equation. So, this might be too long, but I'm wondering how I can get the weird measure gaps apart of the multi-measure gaps. And while I'm at it, is there any way to add cutom sounds?

Edit: so the problem I wanted fixed is so that when I print out the individual parts, they would have those multi-measure rests. After doing some looking around, I realized I didn’t need to have those multi-measure rests in the large score. Thank you for your concern, but I no longer need assistance.

It's not clear from just a picture exactly what might have gone wrong - as mentioned, in order to assist better we really need your actual score. But one clear thing I ca tell even just from a picture is, you should not normally ever turn multimeasure rests on in a score. Nor should you need to turn them on in the parts, because that happens automatically. So it seems you are using these in places they don't belong.
Not sure what you mean about weird gaps, though.
