Bug by writing a cadenca within the insert note input mode?
I just tried to figure out, if it's possible to create a cadenca, which doesn't match in a single system, but needs more systems by using the insert input mode. (To be sure, I'm aware about solutions like: https://musescore.org/en/node/117161 ;-).
But that's what happens, if I insert a lot of notes which don't match inside a single system: It doesn't break the system, see:
What should be the expected behavior? Is it already reported or by design? And first of all, is there a better description of this issue than mine ;-)?

It's not limited to cadence.
A time-signature with a big-value also suffers from the same situation.
And maybe many grace-notes can create the same thing.

Select the note that starts to overflow the system (or a little ahead, as you want, depending on the desired result), then: "Tools"/Measure/Split the measure before selected note/rest. And so on.

Thank's it works for my request (and is a helpful suggestion). But I wonder (and so maybe it's a workaround?) if the application should split the measure automatically at the end of a system as expected behavior (?).

I can't say for sure, but I guess it's by design - maybe improvable, I don't know. In this Insert mode, the program advances in a way blind! I guess he needs a little help and our benevolence to make it understand that we are changing direction :)

However, this is worth noting in the Issue Tracker, as an issue (probably?) or a suggestion?

Thank's for your your replies (it includes both of you). I'll wait a little more for other opinions and maybe then creating a new issue tracker entry (without being angry, if other will be faster than me ;-).

Something else that questions and related to this Insert input mode. Have you try to insert tuplets?

No, I didn't (and maybe it could be another useful solution/workaround :). For clarification: It cames up from a request of an user of the German forum (https://musescore.org/de/node/293003).
(As far as I remember, the last time I was working on it for myself (writing a cadenza over more than one system) was with a score for OpenScore ;-).
The user didn't attache a picture for his purpose (a cadenza about several systems), so I'm not sure what's the best solution.
But the question remains, how should MuseScore deal with it ;-).
