Name of staff after Instrument Text change

If a staff is for instance entitled "Instrument", but then an Instrument Text is applied and e.g. a violin is chosen for the new instrument, the next system will have Violin as instrument name showing for the staff. Is there a way to change this name as with the usual staff properties? It would be particularly useful to be able to define the long/short instrument name by way of some property of the instrument text itself.
