Tying into acciaccaturas or post-grace notes
This behavior isn't making much sense: ties don't seem to be allowed to function properly, and yet they partially do. For instance, let there be a chord, and then insert some crushed notes. Those crushed notes, some of them can be tied to their main cord, but some can't. Likewise with grace notes pre-or-post. Why shouldn't all of them allow for being tied? This would be especially nice for something like Laissez-vibrer ties when hiding the main chord.
Giving an example, notice that the ties for the top and bottom notes work, but the middle note short-circuits and ties to itself!
This seems to be a bug that needs addressing. Same with post-grace notes... for the purposes of laissez-vibrer ties especially.

As a workaround, you can select the tie, open Inspector, and turn off Automatic Placement. Now you can move the tie to where you want.
This is a known bug that has been previously reported. The second grace note does not allow a tie for some reason. The workaround is to add a grace note, a tie, a grace note so that your second grace note has a tie before another grace note is added (which shows up before it).

That's too bad, especially since it means the user can't do the group '/' shortcut which is so useful for having notes crushed of a chord implemented quickly: e.g.:
