1) Opening any score

3) Nothing happens for about 10 seconds, no matter if I am doing the 2) again or no

It only happens when I just opened the score - then it works ok. But this lag appears each time I open any score. I checked the I\O settings - everything seems to be fine. Help ! ((

It takes a while for the SF3 soundfont to get decompressed in the background. Workaround: use an SF2 soundfont

Ok - I got that, put the GeneralUser GS v1.44 for musescore - but nothing changes. That did not happen in the Musescore 2. Do you mean that it is not even the issue or a bug - and that happens with all users?
Ok, I changed the soundfont for FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3, about 15 Mb size - that seems to do the trick. But that is really annoying with the bigger fines - maybe you guys (devs, I mean) - can do something about that?)
No, as stated: this is by design and happens to all users of (larger) SF3 sounfonts. Alternative would be to delay the MuseScore startup, but that would be even more annoying
