One more doubt.
Will the translated Instrument Lists be updated automatically just like .ts files or I have to add to the translated file the changes in instruments.xml?

Unfortunately, it will require manual updating for the time being. However, this is something I would like to look into since it should become part of the normal translation workflow. Open questions:
- somehow we want lupdate to index the instrument names
- do we hard code the instrument names it if that would not be possible
- when hard coding them, give context 'instruments' to them
