The steps:
1. Define Transpose Down as ALT+D and Transpose Up as ALT+U
2. Select the first note, press Shift+the second note (or select 1 or more bars)
3. Press ALT+U or ALT+D
The commands ignore the selection and transposes the entire score!

This definitely is not critical, in fact it should probably be minor, since there are other easy ways to do this and the frequency is once since it has only been reported once.
