Musescore 3 in Windows 10
I have used Musescore 2.1 successfully with Windows 10, but Musescore 3 will not work - everything is greyed out.
When I open a Musescore 2.1 file it wants to reposition all the elements. It looks good, but it freezes.

It works fine for me. Are you using version 3.3?
I am not an expert, but it works for me on windows 10 64bit desktop. It wants to reposition etc but plays whether yes or no..... Try edit...Preferences.....Rest to factory defaults...?? click button at bottom...
I should say the phrase "but it freezes" threw me. Do you mean you don't get playback? If so, see https://musescore.org/en/node/96811 and try #6 first.
Works for me too.
That score BTW seems to stem from a MIDI import.
Unrelated to the topic at hand but I really wonder why you stayed on 2.1 rather than updating to 2.3.2?
