I installed the new version after being prompted to install the last update. Now my MuseScore won't open. I keep getting the following message: "MuseScore 3 can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information."

open it in the Finder , from the Applications directory -- click right on it --- it will prompt you for confirmation that you really want to open it, and say yes; you'll only have to do that once.
