brackets
Why would the brackets have a no entry sign on them and therefore not be useable. I am trying to drag them to the front of the score.
From the palette, brackets, either of the first two would be great to add to the front of the score to tie all the parts together visually.

You need to attach your score and tell us what you are trying to move.

I assume you are on Windows, that's th standard Windows cursor to mean "you haven't yet reached the place where you can drop this". just keep dragging until you get all the way to the staff, Windows automatically changes the cursor to one indicating you can drop.

Thank you, I took it to the middle of the bar and then it did indeed change.
