When 'Jack Audio' is disabled in the preferences I/O tab, the ability to use play/stop is no longer available.

This means that we cannot have 'Jack Midi' output or 'Jack Transport' working..

please take a look
thanks

can confirm this happens with jackdbus on debian with version 3.2.3. There's a current bug with version 3.3.3 that prevents a user from changing things with the Jack setting -- there's an immediate segmentation of thea application when the user changes jack options in the I/O preferences..
