Midstaff changes
Is it possible to both change an instrument and then change the assigned sound in the mixer? I'm using a soundfont, so I don't want the default sounds it automatically switches to when I change the instrument. OR is it possible to change sound in the mixer for only a selected range?

Sure, with an instrument change you get an additional instrument in Muxer, and can assign a different sound there, if needed, it does switch to the default fort that instrument already

I mean change instrument mid-staff. I don't see any additions to the mixer if I insert a change instrument function into my score.
