Inputting charcters with diacritical marks in lyrics
Hi, I am writing a score with transliterated Sanskrit lyrics and I need to use diacritical marks. I don't seem to be able to copy and paste text with these marks nor can I input characters with diacritical marks directly. Is there anything I'm missing? I can usually input these in any text document, even if I'm not using Sanskrit transliteration software but using an insert symbol function (or its equivalent). There doesn't seem to be any such function here.
regards
Baba

I copied the text संस्कृता वाक् from Wikipedia and it pasted fine for me into MuseScore. What version of MuseScore are you using? What operating system?

It works (Ubuntu Jaunty, Musescore 9.5) between the characters table and Lyrics.....
but it doesn't when intending to paste in frame texte....(in this case the paste command is disabled).
Also you have some diacriticals, but a very few, with F2

Paste works in frame text too for me (MuseScore 0.9.5, Windows XP).
People don't normally write Sanskrit by clicking on-screen buttons on a character palette do they?

No, I use usually use Itranslator to generate Devanagari and/or transliterated text. However, when I tired to cut and paste lyrics from a transliterated document it would not save. I have since solved the problem by using Diacwin, a keyboard filter that allows me to input diacritics by preceding each letter with the semicolon key.
