Cannot paste anything
I cannot paste single notes, measures, or anything that I've tried. Cutting removes a note, but even with the exact rest selected that I cut from, paste produces no result. I can use the Repeat function without a problem, but not paste.
I'm using the latest version for macOS and starting from a clean install, all default preferences.

How are you attempting to paste? Shortcut (which one?), right/ctrl-click, menu Edit→Paste?

I have tried all of the above methods -- they have have no result.
Check whether the keys (Cmd+V) are reserved for other functions of the operating system.

I tried reverting to factory settings and it did not work, either. I can complete the operation successfully on Windows but not on the Mac. I also just tried a new install of Musescore 2.3 on my Mac and it also COULD NOT paste anything, using shortcuts, menu commands, or contextual menus...

Can you attach here a score you are having problems with and precise steps to reproduce the problem?

I have attached a sample score below, but it doesn't seem to matter...this is a brand new score created with all the default settings. The same scores that do not work on Mac do work on Windows...

OK, so I rebooted my computer and the problem went away. Not sure why that made the difference. Thanks for helping me investigate.
