Try to 'Fill With Slashes' on any part in my project. It only adds two half-note length slashes, and won't allow me to add any more slashes.

No wonder at a cut time AKA 2/2 time sig, use 4/4 instead (or common time)
Apart from that I'm not sure submitting an issue against the slash-notation-styles plugin for MuseScore 1 was what your intention?
Your score is in to 2/2 because it's in cut-time signature = two half-note beats per bar.
Change the time signature to 4/4. Fill With Slashes, then replace Cut-time signature again.
