Empty bars and a corrupted file after trying to Explode

• Feb 27, 2020 - 17:23

I've had this problem before with a related file, but I've finally been able to isolate it.

  1. Open "mscore_empty_bar.mscz" below
  2. Select bars 3-4 in the Trumpet 1 part
  3. Click Tools > Explode
  4. Press Ctrl+Z to undo
The result is "mscore_empty_bar2.mscz", a corrupted file. Bars 5-6 are now empty for Trumpet 1, even without rests. This messes up some stuff later in the file too, like rests and notes at the same time (I'd rather not share too much of the original file here though, just tell me if you need more context).

This happens on both my Windows 10 computers.

Coinfirmed. We fixed a bug involving exploded passages that started with a rest a while back, maybe somehow we got something wrong. I note that even on the initial explode, there is a problem, as two additional measures are cleared.
