Is there a short cut to add a dotted note
When writing a score using the number method rather than using the mouse, is there a short cut to add a dotted note.
Up to now I have been using the number method for notes but then use the mouse to add the dot to make a dotted note, very slow. I'm sure there must be an easier way.

Select the note duration and the dot (".") of your keyboard, then select the pitch of the note with your keyboard. See also the handbook section for note duration: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#note-rest-duration

Brilliant, so many thanks.
Have a great evening
Where in the world 🌍 can I find the two dots .. to make the note longer. They're usually on the top. I looked at the top next to the other dote . and I could not find it.

To switch from the Basic to the Advanced workspace use the control at far right of the main toolbar.
